Darlene Raines, Drakesboro, KY—Beloved Family Member Passes Away

Darlene Raines, 76, of Drakesboro, Kentucky, passed away on October 1, 2024, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Darlene was the daughter of Tom Vest and Katherine Bolton Vest. She had previously worked for Manpower Services and was known for her dedication to her family and her work.

She is survived by her daughter Katrina Davis, sons Earl Thomas Martin and Carmon Matthew Martin, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ronald Patrick Martin.

In response to this heartbreaking loss, Darlene’s granddaughter Brittany Davis has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral expenses. Brittany shared the fundraiser on Facebook, urging the community to contribute in any way possible, whether by donating or sharing the campaign to help support their grieving family.

Brittany wrote on Facebook, “Here is the GoFundMe to help with the funeral costs for my Mamaw Darlene. If you can’t donate, a share would help!”

Darlene’s family has requested that all services remain private, with Gary’s Funeral Home of Greenville entrusted with her care and arrangements.
