David Glen Stone, Gorman, TX— David Glen Stone, 70, of Gorman, passed away on December 4, 2024, in Abilene. David was born on November 3, 1954, in Stamford, Texas, to Gloy P. Stone and Alice Leona Henderson Stone.
David had lived most of his life in De Leon, where he became well known as a skilled heavy equipment operator. His love for all things mechanical was evident in his enjoyment of running and maintaining farm equipment, particularly tractors. He also had a passion for gardening and spending time outdoors, always staying busy with one project or another.
David was a dedicated father to his son Tony and a loyal friend to many. He is survived by his son, Tony Stone; his sister, Joann Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
David’s family is now facing the difficult task of laying him to rest, and a fundraiser has been organized by Keri Luepke to help with the expenses. The goal is set at $4,000 to assist Tony with the financial burdens associated with the funeral arrangements.
