Delia Zamudio, Woodland, CA—Delia Zamudio, a passionate Spanish teacher at Pioneer High School and devoted mother of four, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024, after a long battle with Stage 4 Urethral Carcinoma. Her untimely death has left a profound void in her family and the Woodland community.
Diagnosed with the aggressive cancer at the end of January 2024, Delia’s life and that of her family were deeply affected. Unable to continue her work due to the illness, her family faced significant financial challenges. Throughout her illness, Delia also struggled with severe depression, which worsened her condition and that of her children, who remained by her side throughout.
In her memory, a fundraiser has been organized by Yeimi Zamudio on behalf of Juan Carlos Ortega to help cover Delia’s funeral expenses and the religious arrangements she had desired. The funds will also assist in maintaining the home Delia worked so hard to create for her children, a legacy she was unable to complete during her lifetime.
Delia was known for her loving nature, dedication to her students, and unwavering commitment to her family. She touched the lives of many, and her passing has left those who knew her heartbroken.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this incredibly difficult time.
