Her sister, Martha Dee Thomas, organized a fundraiser to support Denettress’s final journey, raising $785 out of the $8,000 goal so far. The campaign has received donations from 17 people, including a recent donation of $50 from Michael Huff, a top donation of $100 from an anonymous donor, and the first donation of $25, also anonymous.
In a heartfelt message, Martha shared, "Denettress was a beautiful, smart, intelligent soul. She loved and was loved by her family and friends. To know my sister was to love her. Her death was very unexpected, and she leaves behind her loving husband and two children. It saddens us to find out that she had no insurance, therefore burial funds the family does not have. At this time, we are asking for help to lay this beautiful soul to rest. Any and everything will help. We greatly appreciate all that can and will help. Please keep us in your prayers."
