Denise Wicki, Beverly Hills, CA— Denise Wicki passed away on Thanksgiving Day, leaving behind a profound sense of loss in the community. She was 53 years old and is remembered as a dedicated Kindergarten teacher at El Rodeo Elementary School, known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to the children in her care.
Denise’s health began to decline about six to seven weeks ago, initially suspected to be the flu. However, her condition quickly worsened into pneumonia, and despite various treatments, her health did not improve. Seeking further help, Denise checked into Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where she was diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer known as Squamous cell carcinoma EGFR EXON 20 Mutation. Despite hope for a miracle through clinical trials, Denise passed away peacefully at home on Thanksgiving Day, surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Olivier Wicki, and her 25-year-old daughter, Olivia. Denise was cherished by all who knew her for her selflessness, compassion, and the endless love she gave to others.
