Deric Eugene Turner Sr, Cleveland, OH— Deric Eugene Turner Sr, known to friends and family as Bear or Pug, passed away unexpectedly just 15 days after his 55th birthday. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing.
Deric was a beloved father, brother, and friend, with deep ties to his hometown of Cleveland. He was a passionate supporter of the Cleveland Browns and the Cavaliers, and could often be seen enjoying an ice-cold Pepsi with a Newport cigarette in hand. However, his love for his family, especially his late wife Tracy Tetlak, was the driving force of his life.
Deric is survived by his daughters Kiristen, Briana Geiger, and Brittany Turner; his sons Deric Turner Jr., Charles Turner, and David Siemon; and his siblings Tumika Jordan, Lashawn Turner, Darnell Jordan, Quadra Brown, Joyce Turner, Darrell Jordan, and Vell Perry. His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren Alexander, Christian, Melody, and Ivelise.
A fundraiser has been set up by his daughter, Briana Geiger, to cover funeral expenses, as Deric did not have life insurance. All donations will go directly towards his funeral services and cremation. The exact date for the service is still to be determined.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Deric’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
We offer our deepest condolences and prayers for the Turner family.
