Donaciana Venegas, Rio Vista, CA— It is with deep sorrow that the passing of Donaciana Venegas has been announced. Donaciana was a beloved mother who bravely battled leukemia and multiple myeloma for 17 years, never losing her fighting spirit. Unfortunately, after being diagnosed with pneumonia and a fungal infection on the 4th of July, her health slowly declined. On October 1st, she was placed on a ventilator as her lungs were no longer responding to treatment.
On October 9th, Donaciana underwent surgery for a tracheotomy, and her family was given hope as she seemed to be improving. However, the next day, on October 10th at 4 a.m., her family received a call informing them that her heart had stopped. Despite CPR attempts, she passed away shortly after.
Donaciana was known for her kindness and generosity, always willing to help others, even when she had little herself. She was one of five siblings, though two had already passed away. Now, her family is seeking donations to provide her with a beautiful funeral and memorial service to honor her memory and the many wonderful moments they shared with her.
The fundraiser for Donaciana’s memorial service was organized by her son, Fernando Venegas Ramirez, with many supporters already contributing to the cause. Donations from individuals such as Tommy Bailey, Tia Silvia, Sergio Ruano, and Antonia Guzman have come in to help ease the family’s financial burden during this difficult time.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to Donaciana’s family and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this painful period.
