Donna Gartland, Passaic, NJ— Donna Gartland passed away peacefully on the morning of December 24th, 2024, following a prolonged and difficult recovery. She had been undergoing medical treatment after having open heart surgery on October 20th, 2023. Her recovery was complicated, and despite her strong efforts, she was unable to walk after the surgery. Donna spent the past 14 months in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation centers, but her infectious personality and bright demeanor remained intact throughout her journey.
Donna was known for her warmth, laughter, and generosity. She loved her family deeply and was a loyal, supportive friend. Donna’s love for music, cooking, and traveling, as well as her natural ability to make friends wherever she went, made her a cherished part of the community.
Her passing has left a deep void, and she will be remembered for the joy and kindness she brought to everyone she met. In light of the financial burdens left by her medical expenses and funeral costs, a fundraiser has been organized by Jackie Res to help cover these costs. To date, $205 has been raised towards the goal, with donations coming from friends and loved ones who are honoring Donna’s memory.
