Born on June 24, 1969, in Branson, Missouri, Doug was the cherished son of James “Jim” and Cheryl Casey. His early years were marked by a deep passion for automobiles, a skill he honed while working alongside his father in their garage.
Doug’s journey through life took him from Branson to Kansas, and eventually to Warsaw, where he moved to be cared for by his family following his cancer diagnosis. His love for family and the outdoors was evident in the way he cherished moments spent with his parents, sister, children, and grandchildren. Doug’s zest for life was reflected in his enjoyment of camping and gathering around campfires.
Doug’s passing has left a significant impact on his surviving family members, including his mother Cheryl Casey, his children Kayla Page, Megan Flowers, Jessica Casey, Jade Casey, Bryce Casey, Hayden Casey, and Brayden Bunch, and his nine grandchildren. He is also deeply missed by his sister Stephanie Anderson.
In memory of Doug, a fundraiser organized by Nicole Criss has been set up to cover the costs of his headstone and funeral arrangements. The goal of the fundraiser is $3,500, with $400 raised so far through the generous donations of Pam Roberts ($100), Zachery Anderson ($200), and Nicole Criss ($100).
Doug’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at Victor Baptist Church in Branson, followed by a gathering at Cheryl Casey’s home from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Doug was laid to rest in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson, beside his father, Jim Casey.
