Elizabeth Ann Lewis, affectionately known as Ann, passed away on August 11, 2024, after a brief but intense battle with cancer. Ann’s sudden departure has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was a cherished mother and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched many lives.
Ann, who was 65 years old, spent her final moments at Nightingale House in Wrexham. Her family is deeply saddened by her passing, finding it difficult to imagine life without her radiant smile and comforting presence. Ann’s strength during her illness was remarkable, and she remained a beacon of hope and love even in her darkest days.
Her son-in-law, Anthony Sliwinski, has set up a fundraiser in her memory to help cover the costs of her funeral, as well as to support Nightingale House and Weston Rhyn Primary School. The family hopes to raise £5,000, with £55 already contributed by three generous donors, including Amanda Williams, Rachel Locke Williams, and Bethany Millward.
Ann’s family is planning to lay her to rest on August 28, 2024, a day they are dreading but will face together. They also plan to honor her memory by placing a bench on the pier in Llandudno, one of Ann’s favorite places, where she spent many happy days with her late partner, Dave, who also passed away from cancer 11 years ago.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported them during this difficult time. They will forever cherish the memories they made with Ann, and she will continue to live on in their hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ann’s family during this time of immense sorrow. May they find peace and comfort in the love and memories they shared with her.
