Eric Frey, Milton, PA— With great sadness, we share the passing of Eric Frey. After battling lung cancer several years ago, Eric seemed to be in good health until about a month ago when the cancer aggressively returned. His condition worsened quickly, and after being placed in hospice care, Eric passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on August 28, 2024.
Eric, born on April 7, 1959, was a man who deeply loved his family and lived with a strong faith in Jesus. Known for his free-spirited nature, he was an "old hippy" who left a lasting impact on those around him. He leaves behind his beloved wife Kristel, his children Erika and Robert, and grandchildren Ryder, Lisa, Giovanna, and Arian.
In accordance with his final wishes, a fundraiser has been organized by his cousin Dawn Wahler Hopkins to help support Kristel with house repairs, including a leaky roof that Eric was particularly concerned about. So far, $500 has been raised toward a goal of $10,000, with donations from Barbara Wahler ($200), Kathleen Moon ($200), and Dawn Hopkins ($100).
There will be no memorial at this time, and Eric has donated his body to science as part of his wish to contribute to research.
Numerous heartfelt messages have been shared on Facebook. Dawn Wahler Hopkins wrote, "It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my cousin Eric Frey’s passing."
