Erick Gay, Wake Forest, NC — The community is mourning the loss of Erick Gay, who passed away recently. Erick was a cherished member of the NW family, known for his warmth and dedication. He leaves behind his wife, Sandi, a long-time parent volunteer, and their son, Charlie Gay, who currently plays on one of the rising 10U Elite teams.
In honor of Erick’s memory, a scholarship fund has been launched to support future generations and to assist his family with the financial burdens they face during this difficult time. The fundraiser, organized by the NWCBA Board of Directors, has a goal of raising $10,000, with $5,000 dedicated to the scholarship fund and an additional $5,000 to aid the family with immediate expenses.
As of now, $3,305 has been raised through the generous contributions of 18 donors. Heather Caine made both the recent and top donation of $620, and the first donation of $500 came from the NWCBA BOD.
