Seattle, WA—Feng Zheng passed away on October 27, 2024, in Seattle following a brave battle with cancer. Known for his gentle nature and dedication to his family and community, Feng’s passing leaves a significant void for all who knew him.
Feng was originally from Changle, China, where he spent his early years before immigrating to the United States in 1996. He and his family settled in Wisconsin, where Feng attended Waunakee High School and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Feng built a successful career as a portfolio manager in Seattle, focusing on improving access to affordable housing, a cause close to his heart.
In 2017, Feng met his wife, Tracy Dang, while studying at UW-La Crosse. They married in January 2023 and enjoyed traveling together across the U.S., Australia, and Vietnam, creating countless memories along the way. Feng is remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, and friend, leaving behind his parents, Feng Jin Chen and Rong Zheng; his wife, Tracy Dang; his sister, Jian Li Zheng; his brother-in-law, John Stangl; and nephews, Theo and Oliver.
To honor Feng’s memory, a celebration of his life will be held on November 16th at Lone Girl Brewery in Waunakee, Wisconsin. Friends and family are invited to contribute to a GoFundMe fundraiser organized by Tracy Dang in his memory, with proceeds supporting a nonprofit chosen by his family. The family also welcomes loved ones to share memories of Feng on the fundraising page, ensuring his legacy of kindness and service lives on.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Feng’s family and friends during this difficult time.
