Francis Byers, Calpella, CA— Francis Byers, known affectionately as Judy, passed away on September 2, 2024, following complications from abdominal cancer. She was 80 years old. Francis was a cherished figure in the Calpella community, renowned for her love of birds and her distinctive style.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family and numerous pets, including canaries, parakeets, and dogs. Her vibrant personality and colorful outfits were well known in Ukiah. Francis is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild.
A celebration of her life is scheduled for September 29, 2024, at the Lions Club Park in Redwood Valley at 2:00 pm. The family is requesting donations to cover expenses related to her passing and recovery from the Hopkins fire.
