Nazareth, PA—The Nazareth community is mourning the loss of Gary Chester Buss, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus. Gary, aged 60, was born in Fountain Hill and was the cherished son of the late Elton and Kitty Ann Buss (Faust).
Gary was well-known for his lively spirit and unique personality. A skilled welder and mechanic, he found joy in fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and constantly working on various projects, always tinkering with something new. His presence and energy were a cornerstone in the lives of his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Jake Buss (Jamie Smith) of Nazareth and Tasha Buss (Scott Bauder) of Nazareth, along with his beloved grandchildren: Brylee, Jake Jr., Lillian, James, Jaxson, Conner, Colton, and Weston. His siblings, Sandy Newhard and her husband Dennis of Nazareth, and Elton "Butch" Buss and his wife Kelly of Nazareth, also survive him. Gary was predeceased by his sister, Gail Nikles.
A memorial service in honor of Gary will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 11 AM.
