Gary White, South Korea— It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the sudden passing of Gary White on September 1, 2024, in South Korea. Gary, a retired U.S. Army veteran and Department of the Army civilian security specialist, leaves behind a legacy of dedicated service and deep connections within the community.
Gary White lived and worked in South Korea for many years, serving in various roles, including his recent assignment as the command security manager at the 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Humphreys. His previous work at Special Operations Command Korea earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and friends alike.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jade White Ahn, who was by his side at the time of his passing, and their daughter, Michelle, who is currently pursuing her college education.
A fundraiser has been organized by Ryan Vandrovec to support the family during this difficult time. The community has already begun to show its generosity, with $200 raised out of the $1,000 goal through an anonymous donation. The funds will help the family cover funeral expenses and provide additional support.
The funeral will be held at Kyonwon Ye Um Pyeogtaek Funeral Hall on September 6 and 7, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Family, friends, and the community are invited to pay their respects.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gary White’s family. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
