Glenn Parella—The Parella family is experiencing a profound loss after the unexpected passing of Glenn Parella, who was a loving husband, father, and son. After having overcome a challenging cancer diagnosis earlier this year, Glenn set off on a holiday to reclaim some joy and adventure. Sadly, on September 26, 2024, while in his holiday apartment in Thailand, Glenn passed away, leaving behind his beloved wife, Grace, and their children, Jarrah and Marnie.

Grace and the family now face the heartbreaking task of bringing Glenn’s body back to Brisbane for burial. Afua Boatemaa-Gyamfi, a close family friend, has initiated a fundraiser on behalf of Grace and their children, asking for support to cover the costs of repatriation and the funeral. The community has already shown generosity, with donations from individuals like Jason Foster, Erin White, Alecz Joshua Foster, and an anonymous donor.
