Glenn Wilkinson, Guelph, ON— Glenn Wilkinson passed away on November 22nd after a courageous 19-month battle with lung cancer. His journey was one of incredible strength and resilience, having defied the initial prognosis of just 3 to 6 months to live. Glenn’s fight against cancer was supported by the Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASHH), which provided crucial transportation to his many medical appointments. This service allowed him to maintain his independence during a difficult time while offering peace of mind to his family.
In honor of Glenn’s memory, his daughter, Jessie Wilkinson, has initiated a fundraiser to support CASHH, aiming to raise $5,000 to ensure that other families can benefit from the same services that helped her father. As of now, $250 CAD has been raised through three donations, with contributions from Marlene L Magill, Robin Davison, and Jessie herself.
Jessie shared on Facebook, "I can’t express how much it meant to us. CASHH made sure my dad could access his treatments consistently and safely, and we could focus on supporting him emotionally." The family’s gratitude for the services provided during Glenn’s journey is evident, as they seek to give back to the organization that was such a lifeline.
Messages of support have poured in from the community. Marlene L Magill commented, "My thoughts are with your family," while Robin Davison expressed, "Sending love and strength during this time."
We extend our deepest condolences to Glenn Wilkinson’s family during this sorrowful time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they honor his memory and continue to support the cause he believed in.
