Heather Harris Bolonyi Holt, a cherished member of the Independence, MO community, tragically passed away after a severe car accident earlier this year. On March 24, 2024, Heather was declared brain dead, and in accordance with her wishes as an organ donor, she remained on life support. Heather had always been proud of her decision to give life through organ donation.
Born on August 16, 1984, in Independence, Missouri, Heather was the daughter of Cheryl (Harris) Williamson Golubski and Perry Dempsey. She graduated from Van Horn High School in 2003 and later attended Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph, MO, where she became a cosmetologist. She previously worked at Unique Creations in St. Joseph, Missouri, where she built lasting relationships with her clients and colleagues.
Heather is survived by her wife Jenny L. Holt (Jen), her daughter Evangeline T. Bolonyi, her son Adam G. Bolonyi Jr., and her stepdaughter Mariah L. Holt. Her former husband, Adam G. Bolonyi Sr., who is the father of her children, remains in Saint Joseph, MO. Heather also leaves behind her mother Cheryl Golubski of Blue Springs, MO, her father Perry Dempsey, her sister Rebecca Harris of Montana, and four brothers: Floyd and Lorrie Williamson of Bolivar, MO, Eric Williamson of Independence, MO, Justin and Ranee Williamson of Blue Springs, MO, and David Williamson of Blue Springs, MO. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Ollie Harris and aunts Pamela Harris and Karen Harris.
A memorial service is planned for October 5, 2024, at Roger T Sermons Community Center in Independence, MO, where friends and family will gather between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to honor her memory.
A fundraiser has been organized by Cheryl Golubski to support Heather’s memorial service, with a goal of $2,000. As of now, donations are still being collected, and the community is encouraged to contribute.
