Hilda Skinner, Midville, GA—Community Gathers to Mourn Loss

Hilda Skinner, a beloved member of the Midville community, passed away in the early hours of October 6, 2024, at 3:50 AM. The community has come together in support of her grieving family, as this marks the fourth loss they have faced this year, compounded by the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.

A GoFundMe campaign has been started by Destiny Radford to assist Hilda’s daughter, Tammy Skinner Downs, with funeral expenses. Destiny, in her heartfelt post, shared, “Please help this beautiful lady and her family by sharing this post. I’m starting a GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses for Ms. Tammy Skinner Downs because she lost her mother, Hilda Skinner, on October 6, at 3:50 AM.”

In the same post, Destiny emphasized the profound impact Tammy has had on those around her, writing, “Ms. Tammy is a spiritual mother to me, and this is the best way I can describe my deep attachment to her. She’s one of the sweetest, most humble people I know.”
