Jaime Ilmedo Austria, lovingly known as Jimmy, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024. His sudden departure has left his family and friends heartbroken. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jaime’s final days were marked by an unexpected and aggressive illness that his loved ones had little time to comprehend.

On Friday, September 20, Jimmy underwent a CT scan, which revealed concerning masses on his pancreas and liver. What began as stomach discomfort quickly evolved into a likely cancer diagnosis. Despite being admitted to the hospital, Jimmy spent three days in the emergency room awaiting a room. His biopsy was delayed multiple times, and tragically, he passed away on the morning of September 27 before the results were available.

The Austria family is now facing both emotional devastation and financial burdens as they strive to give Jaime the farewell he deserves. A fundraiser has been organized by Nicole Lumauod to help cover the expenses of his funeral service. In the first few hours, many friends have come forward to offer their support. Among the early donors are Tracy Samonte, Elaine Huang, Krista Antonio, Kristine Galvante, and an anonymous contributor, whose kindness has helped ease some of the financial strain.
