He leaves behind a grieving family, including his devoted wife, Michelle, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage, and their children: Jackie (Anthony), Joleen (Aaron), James, Jarred, and Jesstina. He was also the proud grandfather of his first grandchild, Allison Jade.
Born in Woodland, California, Jamie was the youngest of four brothers: Jack (Darci), Joel (Nancy), and Jeffery. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Powell Cooper, as well as his uncles Fred, Don, and Ronnie, and his Aunt Tot. Jamie spent over 30 years working as a heavy equipment operator, where he formed strong, lasting friendships with his coworkers and partners.
An avid outdoorsman, Jamie enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing guitar. He was well-known for his sense of humor and his love for life, earning the affectionate nickname "Coop" among family and friends. His legacy will live on through the joyful memories he left behind.
A celebration of his life is planned for February 2025. In the meantime, his family has started a fundraiser to support them during this difficult time.
