Surprise, AZ—The community of Surprise, AZ, is mourning the loss of Jamoriel Massenburg, who passed away recently. Known for his empathetic, kind, and loving nature, Jamoriel was a cherished friend and family man. His sudden and tragic death has left his loved ones and friends deeply saddened.
Jamoriel was at home late Tuesday evening, September 17th, when he suddenly experienced seizures and collapsed. Despite his wife Crystal’s immediate call to 911, the situation quickly became critical. It was later discovered that he had two severe brain bleeds that rapidly filled his brain, leaving little that could be done to save him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Crystal, and their six children, who are now facing the emotional and financial burden of his untimely passing. Jamoriel’s income contributed significantly to the family’s needs, covering two-thirds of their bills. Unfortunately, his insurance policy, which only provided coverage for incidents occurring at his workplace, offers no financial support to his family.
In response to this heartbreaking situation, a fundraiser organized by Roland Richardson has been launched to support the Massenburg family with funeral expenses and other immediate needs. The campaign has raised $550 of its $1,500 goal so far, with contributions from kind individuals such as Palmer Aamodt, Hugh Zerbe, Hannah Roberts, Danielle Duran, and Yvonne Zerbe. The outpouring of generosity is a testament to the impact Jamoriel had on those around him.
On Facebook, friends and community members have shared their grief and support. Hillary Webber expressed her sorrow, stating, “The Massenburgs were our first friends in Arizona and quickly became chosen family. Jamoriel was one of the most empathetic, funny, positive, genuine, kind, and loving people I have ever met. We are going to miss him so much.” Jennifer Fligg also conveyed her condolences, asking if a meal train could be organized to support the family during this difficult time.
The Massenburg family is in deep pain, and they greatly appreciate any support they can get to navigate this challenging period. Jamoriel will be remembered for his love for his family, his passion for sports, and the joy he brought to his community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Massenburg family. May Jamoriel rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort and strength in the love and support surrounding them.
