Jannika Werlich Lingg Laham—The community of Wrist is heartbroken over the loss of Jannika Werlich Lingg Laham, a cherished mother and wife who recently passed away after battling aggressive skin cancer. Jannika, known for her warm heart and dedication as a mother of three boys and a loving wife, touched the lives of many. Her role as a trusted and beloved day-care provider for numerous children in her village left an indelible mark on the community.

In August, she had the joy of marrying the love of her life, but only a few weeks after their marriage, Jannika’s battle with cancer came to a tragic end. Her passing has left her family and community reeling with grief. Jannika’s deep love for the Baltic Sea brought her and her family immense happiness, as they spent many blissful days together on their campsite by the sea, enjoying nature and the fresh coastal air.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched by Jennifer Brueggen to help ease the financial burdens of Jannika’s family, particularly the costs of her funeral. The fundraiser has already received heartfelt donations from friends and neighbors, including €150 from Stefanie Butz, €100 from an anonymous donor, and €50 from Marlene Diedrichsen, the first contributor.

The community has also expressed their sorrow and support for Jannika’s family. Jaenne Harbs shared a touching message on Facebook, mourning her loss and sending condolences.
