Jason Hodges, a cherished member of the Queens, NY community, passed away on October 12, 2024, after a courageous three-year fight with stomach cancer. He was a devoted father, brother, and son, known for his warm personality and his unmatched culinary talents. Born in 1973, Jason grew up in Queens, where he attended P.S. 132, I.S. 59, and graduated from Hillcrest High School.

Jason had a natural ability to make everyone feel like family. His infectious smile and vibrant spirit filled every room he entered with joy. A passionate and gifted chef, his cooking, especially his famous jerk ribs, was something everyone who knew him cherished. He was often compared to top chefs, and his culinary prowess will be remembered fondly.

Jason leaves behind four daughters, one son, and five grandchildren, all of whom adored him. Unfortunately, Jason did not have a will, and his family now faces the difficult task of arranging his burial and cremation services. A fundraiser has been set up by his family, led by Setaya Hodges and Estella Johnson, to support these costs and honor his memory with a dignified farewell.

The family is reaching out to the community to help celebrate Jason’s life and ensure that his legacy of love continues to shine brightly. Contributions will help cover the funeral expenses, allowing his family to lay him to rest with the same warmth and love he gave to everyone around him.
