Jason Robert Siepl, a 38-year-old resident of Antioch, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Born in Lake Forest, IL, on May 10, 1986, Jason was a gifted musician who loved exploring, traveling, and creating art in various forms. His deepest passion, however, was spreading love, kindness, and positivity to those around him.
Jason’s passing has left a profound impact on his family, friends, and the wider community. Many have taken to social media to express their grief and share memories. Serena Alemy posted, “I send my family’s deepest sympathies and prayers. I’ll forever in my heart hold Paige Ashworth. Jason, they miss you and sleep well until the final ring.” Other heartfelt messages were shared by LuLu LuLu and Pearl Pearl.
A fundraiser organized by Anna Michelle has been created to honor Jason’s memory and raise awareness for suicide prevention. So far, $25 has been raised of the $10,000 goal. Anna Haley, the first donor, contributed $25. The funds will assist in covering the costs of Jason’s services, with any excess donations supporting suicide prevention initiatives through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Teri, and his maternal grandparents, including his grandmother, Joyce Shipton. He is survived by his father, Bill; his siblings Jamie, Kyle, Kris, and Paige; several nieces and nephews, and a large extended family who will miss him dearly.
A service in Jason’s memory is being held today, Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Ringa Funeral Home in Lake Villa, IL, followed by a graveside ceremony. The community is invited to come together to remember and celebrate the life of a man who touched so many with his music, kindness, and infectious warmth.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jason Robert Siepl’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
