Jason Sportsman, Raymore, MO— It is with great sadness that the family of Jason Sportsman announces his passing on October 11, 2024. Jason passed away due to pneumonia after being in and out of the hospital for a month and a half. He was just 47 years old and is remembered as a vibrant and outgoing person, full of life and love for his family, friends, and pets.
Jason was known for his love of traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with his beloved pets, his cat Roxy, and his sister Nancy’s dogs, Bella and Louie. He was always there for those who needed help, and his happy, caring nature left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
His sister, Nancy Blodgett, has organized a fundraiser to honor Jason’s final wishes. Being disabled and on limited funds, Nancy is trying to cover the costs associated with cremation and end-of-life expenses. The fundraiser, titled "Support Jason Sportsman’s Final Wishes," has received an initial donation of $100 from Jaime Brunkan. Any further support is greatly appreciated as the family navigates this difficult time with both financial and emotional challenges.
Jason’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his joyful spirit will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sportsman family during this incredibly challenging time. May Jason rest in peace, and may his family find comfort and support in their community.
