Jaxxlyn Hazel Moon Huggins, Salt Lake City, UT— The community is deeply mourning the loss of Jaxxlyn Hazel Moon Huggins, who tragically passed away on July 27, 2024, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Jaxxlyn was born on August 27, 2007, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jennie Michelle Stanley and Darren Mckay Huggins. She was just 16 years old at the time of her passing.
Jaxxlyn was adopted by her loving parents, Pete and Wendy Cowley, on March 22, 2019. She is survived by her brothers, Bryan Cowley of Monticello, Utah, and Daniel (Cortney) Cowley of Price, Utah; her biological sisters, Starr, Mariah, and River; her biological brother, Hunter; her niece, Lexi Cowley; her nephews, Christopher and Hunter Cowley; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. A special grandma and friend, Diane Petersen of Salt Lake City, also survives her. Jaxxlyn was cherished dearly and brought immense joy to those around her.
In response to this heartbreaking event, Kayleanna Johnson has organized a fundraiser to support Jaxxlyn’s memorial service. As of today, the fundraiser has raised $250 of its $9,000 goal, with donations from Rachelle Collins ($50) and Jax Rasmussen ($200). The community has also shown their support and sympathy through touching posts on Facebook. Kayleanna Johnson shared, "Me and Mikey will also be planning a truck meet for her as well."
