Jayden Michael Coblentz, Lansing, MI— Jayden Coblentz, a beloved young man from Lansing, passed away on November 26, 2024, following a tragic accident. He was 23 years old.
Jayden was born on April 2, 2001, in Lansing, to James and Jane (Ray) Coblentz. He graduated from Fulton High School in 2019, where he was a proud member of the school’s basketball team. Jayden continued his education at Lansing Community College, graduating with an associate’s degree in hospitality management in the summer of 2024, achieving an impressive 3.9 GPA and being honored on the President’s List. He had a passion for helping others, and was working as a bartender at Beggar’s Banquet in East Lansing at the time of his passing.
Known for his energetic and giving nature, Jayden was always on the go, whether it was playing golf with his brother or spending time with friends. A dedicated fan of the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Clippers, he loved to cheer for his teams. However, above all, Jayden cherished his family and friends, leaving a legacy of kindness and warmth that will never be forgotten.
Jayden is survived by his father, James Coblentz; his brothers, Jarrett (Emily) Coblentz and Jonathon Coblentz; his nephews, Eli and Noah Coblentz; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane; his grandmother, Doris Solomon-Ray; and his grandfather, Harvey Ray.
A fundraiser has been set up by Nikolas Trefil to support Jayden’s family during this difficult time, with all donations directed toward medical bills, funeral expenses, and other related costs. The community has already shown support with donations and heartfelt messages.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 11 am until the service at 1 pm, at the New Haven Church of the Brethren. Arrangements are being handled by Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home in Carson City.
