Jeff Boyer, Apopka, FL— The community of Apopka is deeply saddened by the passing of Jeff Boyer, a well-known figure in the city and the owner of Maters and Taters, a local fruit stand. Jeff passed away following complications from heart surgery that began in August. He was undergoing treatment at Advent Health and later at a rehabilitation center when he unexpectedly passed away after weeks of recovery efforts.

Jeff underwent mitral and aortic valve surgery on August 20, 2024, due to a leakage that affected his heart’s rhythm. After the surgery, a pacemaker was placed to regulate his heartbeat, but despite these efforts, Jeff faced severe health complications. He spent four weeks in the ICU before transitioning to other care facilities, but sadly, his heart could not recover.

Jeff and his wife Diane were married for 34 years and shared a loving family, including their three children, Andrew, Candice, and Ashley, and four grandchildren—Mia, Jayden, Tyrston, and Dylan—whom Jeff adored.

Diane Boyer, now facing an uncertain future, is seeking support from the community to help cover Jeff’s funeral expenses and to assist her as she navigates life without him. The fundraiser, organized by Kaitlynn Lovejoy, is receiving donations from friends and family to help during this difficult time.
