Jennifer Johnson, Alliston, ON— Jennifer Johnson passed away on September 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with a rare form of breast cancer. Jennifer, who was 57 years old, had been facing a series of health challenges over the past two years.
Jennifer had traveled from Jamaica to Canada in January 2024 to be with her grandmother, whose health was in decline. Despite initial improvements, her condition worsened, and she was unable to return home to Jamaica for her mother’s funeral due to medical restrictions. Her health took a severe turn in July 2024, and she was admitted to Brampton Civic Hospital on August 16, 2024, where she ultimately passed away.
Her sister, Paulette Johnson, has set up a fundraiser to cover the costs of transporting Jennifer’s remains back to Jamaica and arranging her funeral. The goal for the fundraiser is CAD 50,000.
The community’s support and sympathy have been deeply appreciated during this challenging time. Jennifer was known as a devoted mother, wife, aunt, and friend.
