Jeremy Thomas, Yuma, AZ—The community of Yuma is grieving the unexpected loss of Jeremy Thomas, who passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 46. A retired U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant, Jeremy was known for his deep dedication to his service and his community. He served in the Marine Corps until September 30, 2014, working on KC-130 aircraft Power Plants Systems and as an “A” School Power Plants instructor. His exemplary skills and unwavering commitment earned him respect and admiration from all who knew him.
After his retirement, Jeremy transitioned into the HVAC field and joined Hyatt Air Yuma in March 2016. He quickly became a key member of the team, contributing to both commercial and residential projects across the Yuma area. His work, particularly in remodels and new construction, left a lasting impact on the community, where he was regarded as family by his colleagues.
Jeremy leaves behind his loving wife, Sandra, and their three children—Brandon, Kayla, and Jeremy Jr.—who are now facing the emotional and financial challenges that come with his sudden passing. A fundraiser has been organized by Haley Hill to help the family cover funeral expenses, and the community has begun showing its support. Out of the $25,000 goal, $755 has been raised through the generosity of eight donors, including Lynnette Humphrey, Cadence Patterson, Derrick Sims, and others.
As the community rallies around the Thomas family during this difficult time, every contribution, no matter the size, is a step toward easing their burden and honoring Jeremy’s legacy of service and dedication.
We are deeply saddened by Jeremy Thomas’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sandra, Brandon, Kayla, Jeremy Jr., and all those who loved him during this painful time.
