Jerry Ashworth, Kennesaw, GA— Jerry Ashworth passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15th, around 2:00 AM, following a tragic accident earlier in the week. Jerry had been involved in a car collision with a tractor-trailer, which left him with severe injuries, including a broken C3 vertebra, a brain bleed, two hematomas, and a large head wound requiring 21 stitches. Despite undergoing intensive treatment in the hospital, additional scans revealed pneumonia, which ultimately worsened, and Jerry’s body could no longer endure the fight.
Surrounded by his loved ones, including Ty and Cierra Crane, Jerry passed away peacefully, holding their hands until the very end.
Jerry was more than just the circumstances of his passing. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and son. He touched many lives with his warmth, love, and joyful spirit. His family and friends will remember him fondly for the happiness and affection he brought into their lives.
As Jerry had not arranged life insurance, his family now seeks help to cover the cost of his final wishes. They are requesting support for his cremation and to bring him home, where he belongs. A small gathering will be held after Christmas to celebrate Jerry’s life, where family and friends will share stories and memories of the beloved man they all knew.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jerry’s family during this incredibly difficult time. May you find peace in the love and support surrounding you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Jerry Ashworth’s family and loved ones as they navigate this painful loss.
