John Andrew Colemann Jr, Hempfield Township, PA—John Andrew Colemann Jr passed away recently, leaving a profound sense of loss in the community. John, born with Muscular Dystrophy, lived his life with resilience and determination. He worked tirelessly to support his family and took pride in growing his own food to manage his health. Unfortunately, his heart could no longer keep up, and he passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
John is survived by his life partner of 18 years, Melissa Nelson, and their two children, Trinity, 17, and Talan, 14. In response to this tragedy, Tracy Tietze-Malone, Melissa’s aunt, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the funeral expenses and provide support to Melissa and the children. The fundraiser, titled "Help Melissa Nelson’s Family Honor John’s Memory," has raised $350 of its $5,000 goal so far, with contributions from six generous donors.
Donations have been made by Lori Onorato ($100), Christine Tietze ($20), Mary Basinger ($20), Jessie Malone ($100), and Hana Kennedy ($10). The family appreciates any support, whether it be through donations, sharing the fundraiser, or sending prayers and good thoughts to Melissa, Trinity, and Talan.
