John was a dedicated husband, father, and brother, as well as a cherished member of the Flagler County community. He worked for the Florida Highway Patrol for over two decades, earning a Purple Heart for his bravery and serving as a K-9 handler and in traffic homicide. After retiring in 2013, he remained involved in public service as a certified concealed carry instructor.
Outside of his career, John had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as camping, boating, fishing, and hunting. His love for cattle ranching was deeply rooted in his upbringing, and he was actively involved in the Flagler County Cattleman’s Association, where he spent countless hours preparing meals for local events.
John’s family has set up a fundraiser in his honor, benefiting the Flagler County Fair and Youth Show’s 4H and FFA Scholarship Fund. The fundraiser aims to support the next generation of agricultural leaders and continues to honor John’s legacy in the community.
