Jose Villavicencio, Los Angeles, CA— It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Jose Villavicencio, who recently passed away at the age of 57. Jose was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in May and battled the illness with great courage. Despite multiple hospitalizations and a heart attack that ultimately led to his passing on August 31, Jose’s spirit remained resilient.
Jose had come to the United States from Mexico seeking a better life and to provide for his daughters. He did not leave a will or financial resources to cover his funeral expenses. A fundraiser organized by Diana Tineo is currently underway to help with these costs. Contributions are being sought to give Jose the farewell he deserves.
