Joseph Boylan, Yuma, AZ—Joseph Boylan, aged 72, passed away on December 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and service. Known for his unwavering commitment to family and community, Joseph’s passing has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him.
Joseph, affectionately known as John, served in the Navy during his early twenties, an experience that shaped his disciplined approach to life and dedication to service. After his military career, he devoted nearly 30 years to maintaining the Community Christian Church, a role that reflected his deep faith and tireless work ethic. His contributions to the church continued even after his official retirement, as he remained a constant presence in supporting the community.
A loving husband to Joann, father to Brandie, and grandfather to John West, Sage Boylan, and Jayla Harris, Joseph was described as the best dad, husband, mentor, and role model. He was also a brother to Bonnie and Jerry Bauer, and an uncle to nieces Alyson and Alyssa Magana. His family, friends, and all who knew him will deeply miss his sense of humor, his love of life, and his passion for spending time with those he cherished.
In his spare time, Joseph enjoyed wood crafting, solving jigsaw puzzles, shooting, and hosting backyard bonfires, often filling the air with laughter and joy. His positive energy and enthusiasm for life will be remembered by all who were fortunate to have crossed paths with him.
A fundraiser has been organized by his daughter, Brandie Boylan, to assist with the family’s financial needs during this challenging time. The goal of $10,000 will help ensure that his beloved wife, Joann, is supported and that all of their obligations are met.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Joseph Boylan. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult period.
