Josh Holden, St. Peters, MO—Josh Holden, a cherished member of his community, has passed away, leaving his family, friends, and all who knew him in deep grief. Known for his vibrant personality, Josh spent over a decade at Applebee’s, where he not only served food but also brought joy and comfort to those around him. A passionate St. Louis Cardinals fan, Josh often celebrated his love for baseball by creating special dishes and drinks in honor of the team, which endeared him to many.
His parents, Kristie and Keith, are devastated by the loss, but they hold dear the 40 years they were able to share with their son. They fondly recall his love of horror films, trivia, and the laughter he constantly brought into their lives. Josh’s excitement about becoming an uncle was boundless, and he cherished the time spent with his niece during her first year of life.
Sadly, Josh passed away due to complications from COVID. While his death came quickly, the family was able to share one final conversation, which brought them some peace during this tragic time.
In honor of Josh’s last wishes, his family has started the "Josh Holden Memorial College Fund" for his niece, with the hope of supporting her future education. Heather Swan, a close family friend, is organizing a fundraiser, and Applebee’s will be hosting a Dine and Donate event in his memory on October 17, 2024, at their St. Peters location. The fundraising efforts will continue through November as the family works to honor Josh’s dream for his niece’s future.
We extend our deepest condolences to Josh Holden’s family and loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this incredibly difficult time.
