Joshua Wayne Anson, Springfield, MO— Joshua Wayne Anson passed away on December 6, 2024, following a heartbreaking medical emergency after undergoing outpatient surgery to remove his gallbladder. Joshua, known for his positivity, strength, and loving spirit, fought valiantly for his life, but tragically succumbed to his condition.
Joshua’s sudden health complications began shortly after returning home from his surgery on December 2. The following morning, his family was alarmed by a dangerously high blood sugar level, prompting a desperate attempt by his wife, Candice Anson, to revive him. After several rounds of CPR, emergency services were able to revive him, and he was rushed to Mercy Hospital. However, a CT scan on December 5 revealed that Joshua had sustained severe brain damage and was declared brain dead.
Candice, who shared a deep bond with Joshua, was by his side during his final moments, surrounded by their three children—Codie Michille, Joshua Hunter, and Jacob Gabriel—as well as their beloved pets. Despite their efforts, Joshua passed away the next day, leaving behind a grieving family and community.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been established by Candice Anson to help with funeral expenses, family support, and to provide a meaningful Christmas for their children in the wake of this tragic loss. So far, $25 has been raised through the generosity of supporters.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Candice, their children, and all those who knew Joshua during this incredibly difficult time.
