Josue Antonio Izales, Langley Park, MD— Josue Antonio Izales passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2024, after a brave two-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends in his final moments, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and selflessness. Josue is survived by his wife Liliana Izales, their two children Evander Antonio, aged 2, and Carmen Elena, aged 4 months, his brother Alejandro Castaneda Izales, and his parents Randolfo Izales and Gregoria Castaneda.
Born on April 22nd, 1986, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Josue moved with his family to the United States at the age of three, settling in Langley Park, Maryland. Throughout his life, Josue showed a deep passion for music, design, gaming, and, most importantly, for helping others. Whether through his career or personal life, Josue was known for his willingness to assist others and for his dedication to teaching and mentoring.
His work ethic and positive attitude were reflected in his career journey, which began at a record store and led to his role as a sales leader for Microsoft Federal in Washington, DC. Josue’s impact extended beyond his work as he mentored many, offering guidance on career growth, job preparation, and personal development. He believed in the potential of others and dedicated himself to helping them succeed.
Despite the challenges he faced during his illness, Josue remained focused on his family, always ensuring they were prepared for the future. His love and dedication to his wife and children were evident in every decision he made, and he worked tirelessly to provide for them and to leave behind a legacy that would support their future.
To honor Josue’s memory, a GoFundMe campaign has been organized by his brother, Alejandro Castaneda Izales, with the goal of raising $10,000 to assist with daily expenses, medical bills, and to secure college and investment funds for Josue’s children. Donations are also being accepted in the form of time, as the family looks for support with various projects and services.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Josue’s family as they navigate this difficult time, and we continue to honor his legacy of service, love, and determination.
