June Romeo, Krum, TX— June Romeo passed away recently, after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, a fight she had been facing since September 2023. She peacefully met her closure in November 2024, having had the precious opportunity to meet her fourth and final grandson.
Her daughter, Madison Splawn, has created a fundraiser to help cover the costs of her mother’s final wishes. The goal is set at $3,000 to support expenses for June’s cremation, ceremony, urn, and a special token for her caregiver and best friend. So far, Madison has shared that June’s cremation alone will cost $2,195, with the remaining funds to be used for the celebration of life.
The loss of June has affected many in her community, and heartfelt messages of support have been flooding in on social media.
