Justin Nolan, Norfolk, NE— Justin Nolan passed away unexpectedly on November 9th, 2024, one day shy of his 44th birthday. His untimely death has left a profound void in the hearts of his family and the Norfolk community.
Justin was the beloved son of Rich and Lori Nolan, and a brother to Jay Nolan. His greatest pride and joy was his nine-year-old son, Ian, with whom he shared a special bond. From fun activities like watching monster trucks to spending hours gaming together, Justin and Ian created cherished memories that will last forever.
A Norfolk native, Justin graduated from Norfolk High in 1999 before making his home in Lincoln, Nebraska. He worked at the Nebraska State Penitentiary, where he was known by many colleagues and friends. Outside of work, Justin enjoyed traveling, trying different restaurants in Lincoln with friends, and following his favorite hockey team, the Colorado Avalanche.
A fundraiser has been established by Amy Schlotman to support the Nolan family with funeral and memorial expenses. The goal of the fundraiser is $4,500, and donations will help with Justin’s cremation and celebration of life. The Nolan family has also expressed a desire for people to remember the importance of having a will in place, as well as the need to cherish loved ones every day.
A celebration of life for Justin will take place in Norfolk, Nebraska in January 2025, with details to follow.
