Karen Parramore, Fort Lauderdale, FL — Karen Parramore passed away on December 2, 2024, following a series of unfortunate events that left her family in grief. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Karen, along with her husband Richard, was known for her caring and loving nature. The couple had been married for 36 years, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to their family.

Her journey of illness began on November 20, 2024, when she underwent heart valve replacement surgery. Unfortunately, Karen faced complications, leading to a lengthy hospital stay. After being released on November 29th, she returned home to find her husband Richard unresponsive, which led to an emergency brain surgery and a heartbreaking series of events that would affect the family profoundly.

Despite Karen’s own health struggles, including a critical condition requiring emergency procedures, her passing on December 2nd followed closely by Richard’s death on December 10th, only days later, left the family devastated. The loss of both Karen and Richard within a week has been a tragedy that their loved ones are struggling to comprehend.

A fundraiser has been set up by Megan Stein Akers, Karen’s granddaughter, to help with the financial burdens of memorial services, cremation, flowers, and legal fees. With heartfelt gratitude, the family expressed their deep appreciation for any donations to help honor the memory of Karen and Richard during this difficult time.
