Now, her family is working to bring her body back to Oahu to honor her memory with a proper farewell. The estimated cost to transport her remains is $3,300, with additional expenses for cremation and medical bills. Kathleen’s niece, Puana Tayaba Hatchie, has organized a fundraiser to help cover these costs and provide financial support to her sisters, Martha and Mercy, who have been by Kathleen’s side throughout her journey.

Her family and friends remember her as a source of strength, love, and joy, and they are committed to celebrating her life as she deserves.
