Kendra Crickett Giles, a beloved member of the Ozark, MO community, has passed away, leaving behind a family and many friends mourning her loss. Crickett, as she was affectionately known, was a devoted mother to Tyler, Jacob, and JC Giles and a loving wife to Chuck Giles, her partner since July 1, 1978. Crickett was 64 years old.
Her support for her children’s dreams, especially her son Tyler’s musical journey, touched the lives of many. As shared in a heartfelt post by Cole Michael Porter, Crickett was always there to encourage Tyler’s music career, making her presence known through her unwavering support and love. “Her support for him and all of us meant the world,” Cole wrote, recalling the bond they all shared through their musical endeavors.
In honor of her memory, a fundraiser has been organized by Cole Porter to help cover the expenses for Crickett’s memorial service, including her cremation, which was her final wish. The estimated expenses total $5,000, and the community has already come together to contribute. As of now, donations have been received, including a top contribution of $200 from an anonymous donor and first support from Mandie Rhodes with $20. The support has been deeply appreciated by the Giles family.
Among the many expressing their condolences, April Devine shared, “I can’t imagine what this feels like.. again, I’m so so sorry Tyler.” Carol Sapp Porter added her love and support to Tyler, encouraging him to keep his mother’s memory close to his heart.
Crickett will also be remembered for her deep love for dogs, her passion for the Kansas City Chiefs, and most importantly, her dedication to her family and friends. Her grandchildren were a constant source of joy for her, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
