Kenneth Vanoster, New Lexington, OH— Kenneth Vanoster tragically passed away on August 7, 2024, leaving behind his family in deep grief. His untimely passing has caused immense sorrow to his parents, Lee and his wife, as well as his eight children, ranging in age from 14 to 4, from two mothers.
Kenneth’s death came after an incident at Perry County Jail, where he was found unresponsive in his cell. He was the only inmate in the facility who was supposed to be under suicide watch due to a previous hospital visit for related concerns. Despite being sedated and monitored by officers, he was released back into jail care just days before his passing. On the day of his death, after a positive court hearing, he tragically ended his life.
In the wake of this loss, his parents are struggling with the financial burden of funeral and headstone expenses, totaling approximately $9,300. They have managed to pay down a portion of the funeral cost but still need support for the remaining balance, as well as for the headstone.
Kenneth’s parents are asking for financial assistance to help cover the final expenses and to support his children during this incredibly difficult time. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist with these costs, and any contribution is greatly appreciated.
The family is also grappling with the emotional toll of losing Kenneth, especially as they face the upcoming holiday season without him. His parents are working hard to care for his children, but the financial strain is overwhelming. They hope that, with the community’s support, they can make this holiday season a little brighter for Kenneth’s children, who will face their first Christmas without their father.
Our hearts go out to the Vanoster family during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this profound loss.
