Lowell Dockins shared the heartfelt plea on Facebook, stating, "For those of you who knew my brother Kevin Dockins, he passed away after a short battle with cancer. He was Captain save bro for anybody who knew him; he helped whoever he could whenever he could. Now we need help to put him to rest. If anybody is able to help, there is a GoFundMe page for him that brother Lowell has started. Thank you and God bless."
The fundraiser, titled "Bring Kevin Dockins Home," has raised $250 out of its $1,700 goal so far, with donations from Gale Kozourek ($100), Jeffrey Diehl ($25), Joanie Birmingham ($50), Terry Woodall-Wright ($50), and William Diehl ($25).
