Kimberly Lynn Bowers, Columbus, OH—The community is heartbroken by the passing of Kimberly Lynn Bowers, who left this world on Thursday, October 24, 2024, after a battle with liver cancer. Kimberly, who was 52 years old, is deeply mourned by her loved ones and the many who cherished her warmth and spirit.
Born on February 9, 1972, to Janice Carol and the late Robert Lee Bowers, Kimberly was known for her strong and loving presence in her family. She is survived by her life partner, Charles Hackney, and her children Angela, Mariah, Alexis, and Zachary. Kimberly’s grandchildren—Michael, Landen, Ava, Zoey, Kannen, Aubrey, Benjamin, and Luther—will dearly miss their beloved grandmother. Her mother, Janice Carol Bowers, sisters Sonia Criner and Tonia Daniels, and numerous relatives and friends feel a profound void with her departure.
A fundraiser organized by Teresa Reid aims to raise $3,000 to cover Kimberly’s funeral expenses, which have proven challenging for the family. Donations are sought by November 4, 2024, to support the memorial and burial services Kimberly’s family hopes to provide in her honor. Community members are invited to contribute to help the family honor her memory.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at O.R. Woodyard Co. South High St. Chapel, 1346 S. High St., Columbus, from 11:00 am until the service at noon. Kimberly will be laid to rest at Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Ohio.
Our deepest condolences go out to Kimberly Lynn Bowers’ family and friends. May her memory bring comfort during this time of loss, and may she rest in peace.
