Kwei Yong Rosa Jung, San Fernando, CA—The community is mourning the loss of Kwei Yong Rosa Jung, who passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 3:13 PM. Kwei Yong, fondly known as Rosa, was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her family and community. She courageously battled thymic carcinoma for five years after being diagnosed in late 2019.

Originally moving to the United States with her husband, Rosa was dedicated to providing a better future for her two sons. Despite language barriers, she showed resilience and a gentle spirit, which extended beyond her family to touch the lives of many in the local communities and church where she was actively involved.

Her son, Seokhoon Park, has organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to assist with funeral arrangements and to honor Rosa’s memory. The viewing and funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 10th, at the Poverello of Assisi Retreat Center in San Fernando, California, with the viewing at 5 PM followed by the funeral mass at 6 PM. The date for the urn placement ceremony will be announced later.

The passing of Rosa has left a void in the hearts of her husband, her two sons, and those who knew her. The family encourages everyone to reach out to share memories of Rosa and offer support during this difficult time.
