Just before the impact of Hurricane Milton on Florida, Lee had undergone surgery to address brain-related health issues. However, on October 14, while he and his wife, Romelia, were relocated to a hotel under county orders, he suffered a severe fall that caused further complications, ultimately leading to bleeding in his brain. He was quickly transported to a hospital in Port Saint Lucie, where he remained on life support until his peaceful passing, surrounded by loved ones.
Lee was the primary provider for his family, managing household responsibilities with unwavering dedication. His sudden absence has left Romelia facing financial uncertainty, as her income is dependent on active work without benefits such as paid time off. To assist Romelia in covering funeral expenses and sustaining household needs, Tamikia Smith has organized a fundraiser in Lee’s memory. The goal is to ease the financial burdens Romelia now faces in this difficult time.
